History
Ancient history and settlement.
History of Dubai’s Early Age. The early inhabitants of Dubai were primarily Bedouin tribes, who lived in the harsh desert environment long before the discovery of oil.
Their homes were simple, constructed from palm fronds and mud, and designed to withstand the scorching heat and sandstorms. Trade and pearl diving were significant activities, and Dubai’s strategic location along trade routes made it a crucial centre for commerce. The traditional souks and cultural practices from this era still influence Dubai’s vibrant culture today.
